Terms & Conditions for Tutors

1. Agreement Overview

This agreement governs your relationship with BrightBrains as an independent tutor providing educational services through our platform.

2. Tutor Requirements

To work as a tutor with BrightBrains, you must:

• Hold relevant qualifications for the subjects you teach
• Pass a DBS check (or equivalent background check)
• Provide proof of identity and right to work
• Complete our onboarding and training program
• Maintain professional standards at all times

3. Payment Terms

Payment arrangements:

• Tutors are paid per completed lesson
• Payment is processed within 7 business days
• BrightBrains retains a platform fee from each lesson
• You are responsible for your own tax obligations

4. Tutor Responsibilities

As a tutor, you agree to:

• Prepare thoroughly for each lesson
• Arrive on time for all scheduled sessions
• Provide high-quality educational content
• Maintain professional communication
• Report any issues or concerns promptly

5. Intellectual Property

Materials created specifically for BrightBrains remain the property of BrightBrains. Your own teaching materials remain your property but must not be shared outside the platform.

6. Safeguarding

All tutors must adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures. Any concerns about student welfare must be reported immediately.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days notice. BrightBrains may terminate immediately for breach of terms or professional misconduct.
