This Code of Conduct ("Code of Conduct") serves as a comprehensive guide outlining the responsibilities and expected conduct of students using services via the BrightBrains platform. The primary objective of this document is to foster a safe and constructive educational environment for both students and tutors as well as BrightBrains staff members. By using services via the BrightBrains and engaging with the affirming our commitment to adhere to the guidelines and principles outlined in this Code of Conduct. Your compliance is not only expected but is crucial for maintaining the educational quality, safety, and reputation of the BrightBrains platform. In the case of misuse or those unable to make this affirmation themselves, parents or guardians should ensure adherence to these Code of Conduct.

I. General Conduct

• Punctuality: Arrive on time and prepared for each tutoring session.
• Inclusivity and Respect: Practice an inclusivity and respectful environment, refraining from harassment or discrimination based on gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
• Professional Communication: Use appropriate language and tone in all interactions and focus on conversation that is relevant to the lesson.
• Technical Requirements: Ensure your hardware and software are in good working condition. This includes a reliable internet connection.
• Distractions: Free tutoring session from excess use and organized environment, free from distractions.
• Safety and Well-being: Adhere to the Safeguarding Policy and immediately report any concerns to the Safety Officer.
• Personal Information: Keep your contact details and personal information updated on the BrightBrains platform.

II. Unacceptable Behavior

• Boundaries: Do not cross tutoring outside of scheduled sessions, whether online or in person. Do not contact your tutor outside the designated communication channels like the platform, GoClass, or GoChat, particularly if such contact is unrelated to tutoring.
• Prohibited: Do not engage in any illegal activities during or immediately before tutoring sessions.
• Substances: Do not engage in any form of abuse or sexually inappropriate behavior with or around tutors.

III. Compliance and Enforcement

• Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the BrightBrains platform. Severe violations may be reported to the police and/or competent local authorities, as further legal actions remain explicitly reserved.

By registering on the BrightBrains platform, you commit to uphold this Code of Conduct, ensuring that all individuals involved receive an education that is beneficial, safe, and respectful.
