Terms & Conditions for Students

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using BrightBrains tutoring services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

2. Service Description

BrightBrains provides online and in-person tutoring services including:

• One-on-one tutoring sessions
• Group tutoring sessions
• Educational resources and materials
• Progress tracking and reporting
• Free trial lessons for new students

3. Booking and Payments

All bookings must be made through our platform. Payment terms include:

• Payment is required before or at the time of booking
• We accept credit/debit cards and bank transfers
• Prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable
• Subscription packages may be available with different payment terms

4. Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson for a full refund
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson may not be eligible for a refund
• Emergency cancellations will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Repeated late cancellations may result in account restrictions

5. Student Responsibilities

As a student, you agree to:

• Attend scheduled sessions on time
• Complete assigned homework and preparation
• Treat tutors and other students with respect
• Ensure you have the necessary equipment and internet connection for online lessons
• Not share lesson materials or recordings without permission

6. Code of Conduct

Students must maintain appropriate behavior during all sessions. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Harassment or discrimination of any kind
• Disruptive behavior during sessions
• Cheating or academic dishonesty
• Sharing login credentials with others

7. Refund Policy

Refunds are available in accordance with our cancellation policy. For package purchases, unused lessons may be refunded on a pro-rata basis within 30 days of purchase, subject to a minimum usage requirement.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect and use data to provide and improve our services, and we will never share your information with third parties without your consent.

9. Termination

BrightBrains reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms, non-payment, or inappropriate behavior.
